Solenis is accepting applications for eight apprenticeships to begin in September 2022. These positions offer the opportunity to gain hands on experience on the job, whilst gaining nationally recognised apprenticeship qualifications.
Solenis’ Low Moor site in Bradford, UK, has six roles available in production, the laboratories, engineering and business support. This site is one of the largest and most productive single site chemical plants in the UK and primarily manufactures polymers and flocculants for the papermaking, mining, oil extraction and wastewater treatment industries.
Solenis’ Grimsby site also has two roles available in production and the laboratories. This site produces polymers and flocculants for the mining and oil extraction industries.
Lucy Parr, Apprenticeships and Graduate Programme Coordinator at Solenis, explains, “We pride ourselves on our award-winning apprenticeship programme and we are excited to be in a position to offer apprenticeship opportunities again this year. Attracting and developing future talent is important to ensure we have the right skills, in the right place, at the right time. At the Bradford site there are currently 24 apprentices at various stages of the programme and in the past 12 months a further six apprentices have completed their programme and moved into permanent roles at our Bradford site.”
Applications will be accepted from Monday 7th February until Sunday 13th March 2022 and information specific to each role can be found on solenis.com under Careers.
Apprentice Nicola Simpson adds, “I love my role as a Science Manufacturing apprentice within manufacturing. I currently spend one day a week in college and the rest on site developing my hands on technical skills. Solenis is a great place to work, the people are so friendly and fully support me in my apprenticeship.”
Solenis has been voted as the Top Employer of Apprentices in the Yorkshire and Humber region for academic year 2021/2022.
