The OnGuard™ 3B analyzer provides the earliest detection and most accurate measurement of biofilm growth possible in industrial water systems, enabling plant operators to take corrective action before biofilm can cause heat transfer loss or equipment damage. Watch to see how it works.

Its unique features include:

  • Ultrasonic sensor that distinguishes soft organic fouling from hard scale
  • Ability to track multiple biofilm-related metrics such as thickness and temperature
  • Unparalleled measurement sensitivity down to 10 microns

The unique ultrasonic sensor has received third-party validation for biofilm detection. Read the CBE evaluation (PDF 611 KB)

Solenis' advanced chlorine stabilizer chemistry is used to produce a patented, in situ stabilized active chlorine solution. The resulting solution effectively controls both planktonic microorganisms and biofilm and does not cause any of the adverse side effects associated with using strong oxidizing biocides.

Benefits of the chlorine stabilizer chemistry include:

  • Reduced corrosion rates
  • Improved microbiological control
  • Reduced precipitation of metals
  • Reduced halogenated organics
  • Reduced operating costs

Only Solenis has the experience and technical know-how to provide a comprehensive, long-term microbiological control solution.

Our experts provide:

WHAT’S YOUR BIOFILM RISK?

  • Is there visible slime buildup in your cooling tower or on your paper machine?
  • Does your plant suffer from reduced production and throughput due to insufficient cooling, especially during the summer?
  • Do you frequently have to replace piping and heat exchangers because of corrosion and leaks?
  • Does your water process areas emit offensive odors?
  • Are your condensers or vacuum pumps experiencing reduced vacuum?
  • Are you encountering reduced water flow and/or clogging of your piping or spray nozzles?
  • Are halogenated organics negatively affecting your regulatory compliance?
  • Have your maintenance and capital costs increased due to cleaning or replacement of equipment?

If you answered "YES" to any of these questions, you may be at risk. Answering "YES" to a number of these questions increases the likelihood that biofilm is impeding your plant's productivity and efficiency. Fill out the form below for a FREE assessment of your industrial water system.
