<h6>Customer Challenge</h6> <p>Cooling water systems in the banking industry face significant challenges, including scale buildup, corrosion, biofouling, and inefficient water usage. These issues can severely impact both system performance and sustainability.</p> <h6>Recommended Sxolution</h6> <p>To address these challenges, a leading bank implemented the HandiChem Solid Program, using Handipak55 as an antiscalant and corrosion inhibitor. By applying a precise dosage of one block (11 lbs) per month, the bank ensured consistent protection against scaling and corrosion.</p> <p>Real-time monitoring of biofouling potential was achieved with bioDART, keeping the cooling water clean and efficient.</p> <p>To further prevent biofilm growth, especially in high cycles of concentration (CoC) cooling water, the bank utilized bioeXile in conjunction with MB60B, CB9099, and MB215.</p> <p>The optimization of water usage was enhanced by aquaDART, which effectively managed the cycles of concentration and controlled blowdown.</p> <p>Traditional liquid antiscalant and corrosion inhibitors were replaced with the HandiChem Solid Program, reducing chemical usage and improving overall efficiency.</p> <p>For carbonate scale descaling, CBD92 was employed to maintain a scale-free system.</p> <h6>Results Achieved</h6> <ul> <li><strong>Water Savings:</strong> Approximately 10% reduction in water costs.</li> <li><strong>Energy Savings:</strong> Around 15% savings from improved system efficiency.</li> <li><strong>CO2 Carbon Footprint Reduction:</strong> A reduction of <strong>1.2 metric tons annually</strong>.</li> <li><strong>Chemical Savings:</strong> Notable decrease in chemical usage and related expenses.</li> </ul> <p>This innovative treatment approach has successfully addressed the bank's cooling water challenges, resulting in substantial cost savings and environmental benefits.</p> <p> </p>
