Diesel Fuel is often a company’s largest expense. Unfortunately, there is very little control over its quality.
Diesel fuel is one of the largest operating costs for many businesses, yet its quality can degrade at every stage of storage and handling. Our Fuel Quality Assurance approach is designed to help you take control; addressing contamination, instability, and performance issues before they impact your operations.
By combining expert analysis, targeted treatment, and ongoing support, we help you maintain clean, stable fuel that delivers consistent engine performance, reduces downtime, and protects critical equipment.
“Over the last two decades, the cetane number and the API gravity, the basic measures of crude oil quality have declined.” —Society of Automotive Engineers, (SAE) Bulletin 872243
"Diesel fuel quality has deteriorated for the past 20 years and is expected to continue this trend for the foreseeable future.” –American Society for Testing and Materials, (ASTM) Pub. # 10056
Increasing pressures across the fuel supply chain are having a direct impact on diesel quality. From changes in crude sourcing to evolving refining processes and fuel compositions, today’s diesel is more susceptible to performance issues, contamination, and reduced reliability. Understanding the key factors behind this decline is essential to protecting equipment, maintaining efficiency, and avoiding unnecessary downtime.
Industry surveys show that low quality diesel fuel is the number one cause of poor engine performance.
Diesel-Mate™ All Seasons contains an additive package that sets it apart from other diesel fuel conditioners.
Raises cetane number an average of 3 to 4 or more points to help increase mileage, improve combustion and make starting easier.
It doesn't matter how much diesel fuel your company uses annually, you will experience poor fuel quality if you haven't already. With the advent of ULSD (drier fuels), biodiesel and refinery operations, diesel requires attention that diesel fuel users arne't able to provide on their own, but we do.
Our Fuel Quality Assurance Program is a five step process.
Installation of our patent-pending Solar Direct Inject pump that will deliver an accurate dilution of our diesel fuel additive during your fuel deliveries without any dedicated human resources.
Quarterly testing of your on-site storage tanks for water content, biological growth, cetane levels, cloud point, CFPP, pour point and biodiesel content.
Every gallon of fuel you receive will be treated accurately with our high-performance additives.
We will provide our EPA registered fuel biocide if and when your storage tanks test positive for any biological growth; with a 100%, 8 hour kill and a 90 day residual effect, you can be certain your diesel fuel will be free of any biological contamination.
Our technical sales representative are trained extensively on diesel fuels and will be on site monthly to service the Solar Direct Inject pumps, check fluid levels, and provide consultation on laboratory analysis.
Complete Fuel Analysis with Treat Rate Recommendations. Fast, reliable test results that are easy to understand and help to ensure optimal equipment performance with easy-to-reference ASTM Tests.
