Diversey Partners with KitaOlah on Exclusive Take-Back Program
July 2, 2026
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jakarta, Indonesia — Diversey, a Solenis company, and KitaOlah, an Indonesian recycling company have signed an exclusive partnership dedicated to addressing the plastic waste crisis in Indonesia. The partnership focuses on collecting and recycling empty jerry cans and plastic containers from Diversey customers across the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) area, transforming post-use packaging into new, useful products.
As the global plastic waste problem intensifies, this collaboration will transform used plastic containers from Diversey customers into valuable recycled materials, such as plastic flakes and pellets. These materials are then reused in the textile industry and to produce more sustainable products such as coffee tables, stools, and tissue boxes giving post-use packaging a second life instead of sending it to landfills.
Under the partnership, KitaOlah will serve as Diversey's exclusive recycling partner in Indonesia, collecting approximately 1000 kg empty jerry cans and containers from Diversey customers every month across the Greater Jakarta region on a structured schedule. These containers will be processed at KitaOlah's local facilities to create useful recycled products.
“Closing the loop on plastic packaging is a critical step toward building a truly circular economy. Our partnership with KitaOlah reflects Diversey's ongoing commitment to go beyond delivering cleaning and hygiene solutions – we are working to improve environmental performance across key stages of the product lifecycle, including end-of-life collection and recycling” said Agus Riyadi, Diversey, a Solenis company.
Muhamad Andriansyah, Founder and CEO, KitaOlah, added “At KitaOlah, our mission has always been to turn waste into opportunity. This partnership with Diversey aligns perfectly with that vision. By collecting and recycling their customers' empty jerry cans, we are keeping valuable materials in circulation and out of landfills - creating a tangible, measurable impact on Indonesia's plastic waste challenge."
With this initiative, Diversey and KitaOlah are demonstrating that sustainable waste management and business growth can go hand in hand. The partnership is designed as an ongoing program – not a one-time initiative – and both companies are committed to driving meaningful change in how post-use packaging is managed across Indonesia's cleaning and hygiene industry.
