Supplier Risk Program

For a more resilient and sustainable future, together.

Solenis’ suppliers risk management program is a comprehensive framework for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our suppliers. This program recognizes the critical role our suppliers play in the success of our company and seeks to develop strategies to minimize potential disruptions and safeguard our business continuity. By proactively managing supplier risks, we are able to be more resilient, enabling exceptional service to existing or new customers  ,reducing the risk of financial losses, maintaining our good reputation, and achieve our sustainable commitments through partnerships within our value chain.

Solenis’ Supplier risk management process is comprised of six elements as represented below

This process is carried out throughout supplier selection, onboarding, and ongoing management to ensure our business is conducted only with suppliers that meet Solenis expectations.

Risk Program Coverage

Solenis has partnered with leading technology providers to build a comprehensive and advanced supplier risk management program. By leveraging AI, we are now able to significantly expand the number of vendors we screen and broaden the range of risk domains we assess—including cybersecurity vulnerabilities, ESG factors, financial health, geopolitical risks, catastrophic events, and regulatory restrictions. In addition to evaluating supplier scores, we also take into account country-specific risks and the industry to which the suppliers belong and the categories they serve.

Suppliers in Scope

Starting from FY24, Solenis has expanded its suppliers risk program. Diversey and Solenis suppliers are now combined which has significantly increased the number of suppliers enrolled in the program. The enrollment of suppliers within risk screening program is phased, giving priority to the ones that are more relevant for the business because of spend, location, other criteria. Some of our program numbers are listed below:

  600 + Direct Material Suppliers

Enrolled and monitored through the program of which 300+ Direct Material suppliers are considered significant because of high ESG risk  and relevancy  for our business (43 % of spend)

  40 k + Non Tier 1 Visibility

Enabled through our technological partner out of which 260+ are considered significant because of high ESG risk

Following our Supplier Risk Identification and Scoring, we conduct a detailed risk diligence for Strategic Tier 1 vendors as well as significant Tier 1 & Non-Tier 1 suppliers. Identified suppliers have to enroll in our advanced risk management program, administered by Global Risk Management Solutions (GRMS). This program has been meticulously crafted to efficiently collect and manage critical data & questionnaires concerning regulatory compliance & ESG performance of our suppliers. Below our FY24 achievements of our risk diligences:

210 Suppliers
assessed via GRMS for environmental & social impact
( >36% of Total significant Tier 1 & Non-Tier 1)
12 Suppliers
confirmed with negative impact linked to high ESG risk
100 % Mitigation Plans
implemented with Solenis support for suppliers with confirmed high ESG risk

Any potential risk of human rights violations within Solenis’ supply chain, identified through our standard supplier risk assessment via Global Risk Management Solutions (GRMS) will prompt a deep dive investigation. For Supplier(s) that are identified with a potential risk of Human Rights violation, a secondary level of due diligence will be conducted using a dedicated software solution, Kharon. This assessment enables Solenis to assess Tier 1 and Non Tier 1 suppliers. Any potential risk of human rights violations within Solenis’ supply chain, identified through our standard supplier risk assessment via Global Risk Management Solutions (GRMS) will prompt a deep dive investigation.
