Our unwavering focus on safety and talent helps us provide complete water treatment and process solutions for consumer and industrial markets.
At Solenis, we’ve fueled the growth of our business by creating a culture that delivers a positive experience for every customer during every interaction.
Our culture is centered on fundamental beliefs about the importance of our people and how their performance drives results. Whether we’re committing to safety every day, making impactful contributions in the communities where we work or hiring the most talented people, our culture of excellence is in our DNA. It’s guided our growth for the last 100+ years, and it will guide us as we continue to grow.
A culture of safety. Our culture of continuous improvement in safety is extremely strong. Each worker must agree to our 10 Safety Expectations — and execute them without exception. These expectations, which support our philosophy that all injuries are preventable, are incorporated into our everyday activities. We train and expect our team to “STOP. THINK. ACT.”, leveraging behavior-based risk assessment as key company conversation.
Our safety focus drives us to provide a workplace that doesn’t negatively impact workers’ health or well-being. Safety programs tailored for each team and/or site ensure proper identification and risk controls for every specific environment. This mindset continues onto our customer sites, allowing us to integrate safety as a value-added service.
We empower workers with the responsibility and authority to “stop work” for any reason, without fear of retribution, and support them with resources to fix the situation. And we recognize workers who exercise this right.
From regular training to idea sharing to milestone celebrations, safety is an ongoing conversation at Solenis. Highlighting this commitment, Solenis has been named twice by EHS Today as one of America’s Safest Companies.

SUPPORT FOR WOMEN
Twice a year, women in the Kwinana, Australia, area learn about career paths in the male-dominated manufacturing sector. Representatives of our plant participate in the Women’s Networking Forum, sharing their experiences and knowledge.
In Europe and the U.S., computers quite good for educational use, but not for business applications, are cleaned up and donated to schools with predominately minority students.
SUPPORT FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS
The Water Project, our flagship charity, works with communities in Sub-Saharan Africa to create sanitary water resources and hygiene facilities. Carrying water for cooking and cleaning frequently is a female responsibility.Learn more about The Water Project
The pandemic is keeping students away from our Science Lab for Kids in Bradford, UK, but since the situation has eased, the lab team can go to the schools. They explain basic chemistry principles and what we manufacture in their hometown.
One person’s idea for a Feeding America campaign expanded into a competition between several of our sites, generating hundreds of pounds of food donations. It also brought in $3,000 in cash and each dollar can help provide eight meals.
SUPPORT FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS
Schoolgirls in Bradford, UK, learned about possible careers in manufacturing, where female leaders are underrepresented. Our production manager joined the community panel to tell of the rewards and challenges she faces in a career she loves.
Among the activities of our Corporate Responsibility Team in Indonesia was helping fight the pandemic with a donation of medical supplies, vitamins, milk and vegetables to an orphanage in East Java.
SUPPORT FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS
Equity, at our site in Araraquara, São Paulo, Brazil, provided free training to women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community regarding federal regulation NR11 – Transportation, Movement, Storage and Handling of Materials. This enhances career opportunities and Solenis' trajectory to become more diverse and equal.
Employees at our plant in Busnago, Italy, joined the company in contributing to the purchase of a van for transportation of disabled residents in the city. It was the second time a van was donated to the “Free to Be, Free to Move” program.
